Apple’s “Time Flies” Event is Just Around the Corner, What Should We Expect?

Apple is all ready to hold its September annual event called “Time Flies” tomorrow. In this event, Apple’s new hardware and expected products will be announced. Usually, the September events of Apple are held to mark the arrival of a new iPhone but this time the things are different. The tech geeks who follow apple products launch and events know that September holds significant importance for the tech giant, as in this month the company launches a new iPhone, but this year’s new iPad and new Apple watches are expected to be introduced along with some other announcements.

Apple unveils new products, product redesigns, and upgrades through press conferences or by holding events with the audience around, but this year due to pandemic the company virtually held all its events including Apple’s WWDC 2020. “Time flies” will also be held virtually and viewers can watch it by clicking on this link. The headlines can also be viewed on the tech giant’s website. 

What to Expect? 

The meta-data of the pre-event YouTube page suggests that Apple watch series 6, iPad air 4, cheaper Apple watch, Air-Tags, Apple One subscription, a possible MacBook and iOS 14 and other OS updates are the expected highlights of the event. Numerous rumors are circulating related to the delayed launch of the iPhone 12 and it is expected in October. So, the possibility of the launch of the iPhone 12 in tomorrow’s event is uncertain.

Apple Watch Series 6 and Cheaper Apple Watch 

The name of the event “Time Flies” clearly suggests that the event is going to reveal the new version of the smartwatch. The new watch will have Apple’s watchOS 7 along with some amazing features. The watch is expected to have sleep tracking, improved battery life, smart straps, and is believed to have more focus on fitness, which people are trying to achieve during the pandemic. Apple is famous for catering to the needs of its customers and delivers products by researching the needs of people and then launch its products according to those requirements. 

Apple watch series 6 has some amazing features related to health. It captures exercise time, running, standing, and moving metrics throughout the day along with cardio fitness. It helps in keeping the track of the menstrual cycle and fertility window based on the information provided. The watch scans the environment for different noises and notifies on loud noises that can damage hearing. With enhanced Siri, you have an assistant 24/7. It is rumored that the watch will have support for blood oxygen detection and electrocardiogram features too. 

Apple’s cheaper and lower-specced watch “SE” is also expected to launch in tomorrow’s event. This prediction was made by Jon Prosser in one of his tweets

iPad Air 4  

The “Time Flies” event is also expected to unveil iPad Air 4. It is expected to be a cheaper version of iPad Pro 2020 with a similar design. Earlier rumors hinted that it will have a 10.8-inch display, a Touch ID sensor instead of face ID in the power button, and a single rear camera. However, it will have a slow processor as compared to the Pro models. 


Air Tags 

Good news for people with weak memory. If you are in a habit of keeping things and then forgetting their location then this item is for you. Apple has been working on a tile-like, circular-shaped Bluetooth tracking device with Apple’s logo on it. When attached to any item it can help in finding its location. This tracking accessory works with Find My app. 


Apple One 

To gain the loyalty of its customers, Apple is launching its subscription service with the name of Apple One. This service will allow the customers to subscribe to various combinations of services offered by the company at a lower monthly subscription. The basic package will have Apple Music and Apple TV+. The package will be pricier if all Apple services are subscribed. However, Apple Care+ will not be included in the new subscription plans. 



Apple is expected to unveil its new MacBook in tomorrow’s event. The display could be 12-inch and it will be powered by ARM-based Apple Silicon that was announced in Apple’s WWDC 2020. 

iOS 14 and Other OS Update 

Apple announced new versions of iOS, macOS, watchOStvOS, and iPadOS in the WWDC event that was held in June 2020. It is expected that Apple will announce the new iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14 in tomorrow’s event “Time Flies”. More details are expected to be revealed tomorrow.
