Hollywood Actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney Takes Over Wrexham
Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian actor and Entrepreneur. He started his journey by performing in sitcoms like Hillside and Two Guys and a Girl. In 2009, he gave a box office hit movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine and lent his voice in animated movies Crood and Turbo that were both released in 2013. He also gained popularity due to his looks and was featured in People Magazine’s “Sexiest People” issue in 2007. His Success story is not only limited to acting, but he tried his hands on some successful business ventures too. In February 2018, he obtained a stake in Aviation American Gin. In November 2019, he bought the ownership stake in Mint Mobile, while in July 2020, he joined the board of Match Group. The Hollywood A-lister is now all set to take over Wrexham A.F.C, the third oldest professional football team in the world along with an American director and producer Rob McElhenney.
The Canadian Actor is investing in the football club Wrexham with a view of making it a “global force”. He also aims to make a Netflix-type documentary about their take over. The news is also affirmed by producer Rob McElhenney, the creator of the TV series, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. In “Ifor Williams trailers” on Twitter, Reynolds and McElhenney said: “To the Wrexham Supporters Trust, thank you for your faith and trust in us”. “We’re humbled and we’re already getting to work. Oh s***…. this is really happening.”

The Hollywood A-lister’s bid was backed by 1,809 voters, only 26 were against the proposal. According to a statement by The Wrexham Supporters Trust Board,” the RR McReynolds Company, LLC will take 100% control of Wrexham Football Club Limited from the WST”.
The Board further mentioned that “both parties will now proceed with finalizing the details of the takeover, and we will update Wrexham supporters as soon as we can.
