During the Build, Microsoft previewed the next generation of Windows and unveiled that it will launch a new version of Windows later this month on June 22nd at 11 AM Eastern. Invites have already been sent to the media and it is revealed that CEO Satya Nadella and chief product officer Panos Panay will lead the event. The recent hint also suggests that the tech giant is not preparing an update to Windows 10, but a new numbered version of Windows will be released. The invite has an animated Windows logo, with light coming through the window only through the vertical bars, making an image of the number 11.

The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella said at the Build, “We will create more opportunity for every Windows developer today and welcome every creator who is looking for the most innovative, new, open platform to build and distribute and monetize applications.”

Some big changes are expected as it is revealed that Microsoft is working on code name Sun Valley, which is referred to as a “sweeping visual rejuvenation of Windows” by the company.  Windows is working to refresh its design and features to help its users work seamlessly. The tech giant wants to refresh the desktop and user interface a bit.

Microsoft exec Yusuf Mehdi said in one of his Tweets that he has not been this excited for a new version of Windows since Windows 95!

I haven’t been this excited for a new version of @Windows since Windows 95! Although I don’t remember the box being that big. Make sure you save the date for June 24! #MicrosoftEvent https://t.co/j80Sh9rwos pic.twitter.com/XgfEI2qxqG
