Jamie Lynn Spears Breaks Silence and Supports Sister’s Right to Freedom

Jamie Lynn Spears publicly supports her sister after the world-famous music sensation Britney Spears speaks about her controversial conservatorship.

Last week on June 23rd, Britney requested the court in Los Angeles and asked the judge to terminate the conservatorship that has controlled many aspects of her life since 2008. She condemned her father and others who controlled it and called the legal arrangement, “abusive” which has made her “traumatized.” Britney told the court in a 23-minute appearance in court that she needs her life back. She also brought this before the judge that she was forced to perform, take medications, and prevent more kids.

Jamie Lynn Spears who is 10 years younger than the renowned singer made her support public for the first time after facing criticism from fans for remaining quiet and not publicly backing her sister. In response to their criticism, she says that she is “so proud” of her sister Britney for speaking for herself.

An Instagram story shared by her on Monday “The Sweet Magnolia’s Star” says, “I’m so proud of her for using her voice, I’m so proud of her for requesting new counsel like I told her many years ago. Oh, not in a public platform but just in a personal conversation between two sisters … If ending the conservatorship and flying to Mars or whatever the hell else she wants to do to be happy, I support that one hundred percent because I support my sister, I love my sister. Always have, always will.”

The conservatorship was put in place in 2008 when Britney Spears underwent mental health crisis. Jamie Spears, Britney’s father, was appointed as her conservator. The attorney and her father have emphasized that her fortune will remain vulnerable to fraud and manipulation. Britney, however, still needs to file formally for the end of this conservatorship.
