WhatsApp Introduces Carts to Make Shopping Easier!


The messaging app is evolving fast to provide a better shopping experience to users along with chat. It also serves as a great business platform where people can buy and sell their merch. Recently, WhatsApp introduced carts to make this experience easier and organized. 

“Starting today, we’re excited to bring carts to WhatsApp. Carts are great when messaging businesses that typically sell multiple items at once, like a local restaurant or clothing store. With carts, people can browse a catalog, select multiple products, and send the order as one message to the business. This will make it simpler for businesses to keep track of order inquiries, manage requests from customers, and close sales.” said WhatsApp in one of its blog posts. 

Using carts is very easy. Open the business profile and select the shopping button icon present next to their name. Open the business catalog you want to access. Tap on the required product, and then tap ADD TO CART. Use ADD MORE if more than one product is required and VIEW CART to check the items in the cart. Once the sent button is pressed your order will be placed and it will be considered final once the seller has confirmed.

WhatsApp has received positive feedback from Agradayaa herb and spices business in Indonesia. They claim that their business has become more convenient as carts have spared them the hassle of going back and forth through the entire communication before confirming an order. 

The timing of this feature is perfect as before Christmas people will find it convenient to shop via carts in WhatsApp. If this feature shows a promising response then WhatsApp will receive a major boom in revenue.
